Approved Courses and Credit Details
- Credit Policies:
- At LSE, students will earn 4-credits for two Harvard-approved courses taken across two modules (2-for-1), or 8-credits for three Harvard-approved courses taken across all three modules (3-for-2).
- Students must complete all course assessments and final exams, and receive a letter grade on the LSE transcript for courses to considered for credit. Courses marked as "Attended" or "Registered" will not be eligible for transfer credit.
- When applying to the LSE Summer Program, you will be prompted to enter an "Institution Code" for a 10% discount on tuition. Please find the code and instructions on how to use it here.
The OIE has curated a list of courses that have been pre-approved for elective credit. If you wish to have these courses count toward your concentration or secondary field you must have the appropriate department advisor review the courses separately. If your concentration/secondary field department approves one course as fulfilling a concentration/secondary requirement, then your other course(s) must come from the lists below.
