Hi there! I've had the pleasure of serving as the Director in the Office of International Education since 2014. Prior to coming to Harvard, I facilitated internship and research experiences for undergraduate and graduate students in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay as part of the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) program at MIT. My career in international education began at Syracuse University, where I worked with Syracuse University study abroad programs in Istanbul, Madrid, and Santiago, Chile. My passion for education abroad and international experiences was influenced by my personal background and upbringing, spending the academic years in the US, and summers in Chile with my family (both of my parents are Chilean). The experience of spending extended periods of time in Chile, and also through other international travel, such as my semester abroad in Madrid, Spain while a student at Skidmore College, affirmed my love of traveling and international education. I'm lucky enough to have combined my passions and turn them into a career! I completed my M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University, and Ed.D. from Northeastern University, where my research focused on first-generation college students and their experiences in international education. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband and son, running and other exercise, and hiking in the many trails in the area with my family and our dog, Mango. I look forward to seeing where the world takes you!
