(Tanzania, Rhotia): School for Field Studies: Wildlife Management Studies
On the Wildlife Management Studies program, you'll track predator movements while camping in the Serengeti, map elephant foraging routes across rangelands, engage with the Maasai and Iraqw to understand how cultural tourism balances income benefits with pressures on traditions, and assess irrigation withdrawals and tourism water use impacting the region's wetlands. You'll take three subject-based courses, a language and culture course, and a capstone Directed Research course where you develop the question, collect and analyze field data with faculty, and present findings to local partners.
