The 8-week Bard in Bishkek program is hosted by the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), where you'll enroll in two four-credit courses: a Russian language course, where you'll be placed based on your language proficiency, and Post-Soviet Central Asia: Sovereignty, Community, and Cultural Self-Expression. To supplement your academics, you'll have an opportunity to participate in Russian Table language lunches and guided homework sessions with peer tutors from AUCA. You'll also live with Russian-speaking families, allowing you to further improve your language skills and experience daily life in Kyrgyzstan. And through the program, you'll further enhance your understanding of Kyrgyzstan's rich culture, history, and society through weekly excursions in Bishkek and the surrounding regions.
