The Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad program in Havana, Cuba (CASA-Cuba) provides undergraduate students from leading institutions with the unique opportunity to have direct access to Cuba's most prestigious institutions of higher learning, such as the University of Havana and Casa de las Américas, Cuba's premier research institution on Caribbean and Latin American studies, Cuban Culture and the arts.

Through CASA-Cuba, you will be challenged to achieve a critical understanding of current Cuban events through interacting with some of the country's leading academic experts in the social sciences, arts, and the humanities.
In this immersive program, you will enroll in up to four courses* at the CASA-Cuba center and the University of Havana, alongside Cuban students, and interact with peers who share your intellectual curiosity about Cuba's past, present, and future. CASA courses are delivered to a combined audience of CASA and University of Havana students, and are taught by a group of carefully selected faculty from the University of Havana and recognized experts from Casa de las Américas.
*Harvard students are required to enroll in at least two University of Havana courses

Students may only apply to one CASA program. Our expectation is that students admitted to a CASA program will accept the offer and withdraw any other study abroad applications.

Note that a B2 language level guarantees admission to CASA-Cuba until the program reaches enrollment capacity.
