Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad - Havana, Cuba (CASA-Cuba)

The Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad program in Havana, Cuba (CASA-Cuba) provides undergraduate students from leading institutions with the unique opportunity to have direct access to Cuba's most prestigious institutions of higher learning, such as the University of Havana and Casa de las Américas, Cuba's premier research institution on Caribbean and Latin American studies, Cuban Culture and the arts.

CASA Cuba Program Application

  • Students may only apply to one CASA program. Our expectation is that students admitted to a CASA program will accept the offer and withdraw any other study abroad applications. 

  • Note that a B2 language level guarantees admission to CASA-Cuba until the program reaches enrollment capacity.

  • Please be prepared to upload the following supplemental materials to the application platform:

  • personal statement to be shared with program director

  • a copy of your student record (unofficial transcript)

  • proof of a B2 (advanced) Spanish language level or higher (an email from a faculty member attesting to your B2 level is sufficient) 

  • color copy of passport photo page

  • one passport-size digital photo

 

Prerequisites

Six semesters of college-level Spanish or the equivalent proficiency

Deadlines
  • For Fall study abroad: March 1 
  • For Spring study abroad: October 1
