Term-Time Pre-Departure Information

Once you have applied for admission and for transfer credit, you will receive detailed information and instructions from the OIE about the following pre-departure steps:

1) If you are on Financial Aid, speak with the Financial Aid Office to understand how your
    financial aid package affects your study abroad experience, and how to complete the 
    Financial Aid Supplement. 

2) Cancel your housing for the term that you will be studying abroad, by completing the
    Housing Cancellation Form Please visit the Dean of Students Office for more information.

3) If you will be waiving your Harvard health insurance during your term abroad, you must
    complete the necessary Harvard University Student Health Program Waivers.  

4) Attend a mandatory orientation at the OIE
    - These sessions will be offered during reading week. You will receive emails with links to the
       registration page. You are required to attend one session prior to your term abroad. 

5) Complete the required Health and Safety Pre-Departure Requirements
