#  Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad-Barcelona 

 



 The Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad program in Barcelona, Spain ([CASA-Barcelona](https://casa.education/barcelona)) offers students with a high-level of Spanish language proficiency the opportunity to enroll directly in regular university courses alongside enrolled Spanish students at four leading universities: [Universitat de Barcelona](http://www.ub.edu/web/ub/ca/), the [Universitat Pompeu Fabra](http://www.upf.edu/), the [Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona,](http://www.uab.es/) and the [Universitat Politècnica de Cataluña](http://www.upc.edu/). Additionally, you may enroll into 1-2 core and content courses, offered to support, guide, and enhance your coursework at the Spanish universities, taught at the CASA-Barcelona center.



 

 
Prerequisites- Five semesters of college-level Spanish or the equivalent proficiency
- 3.0 minimum GPA



 

 
Deadlines- For fall study abroad: March 1

- **Students may only apply to one CASA program.**
- **Note that a B2 language level guarantees admission to CASA-Barcelona until the program reaches enrollment capacity.**
- **If you are not a native or heritage speaker, please be prepared to upload proof of B2 (advanced) Spanish language level or higher to the application platform (an email from a faculty member attesting to your B2 level is sufficient).**

 Single semester students who arrive with proficient oral and written Catalan skills, and full-year students who have acquired Catalan proficiency during the fall term may have the option to pursue content courses in Catalan.
