Getting Started

"The best decision I made at Harvard was to leave Harvard and go abroad."

To get started on your study abroad experience, you will need to
research programs, consult with concentration advisers and
language advisers, and review the Office of International Education (OIE) website to find out more about if you are eligible to study abroad, when to study abroad, how to make a plan, and to find out more about the student experience.

Once you have reviewed the list of Pre-Approved Programs and narrowed down your program choices, you will need to carefully
review the application process, apply directly to the program or foreign institution for admission, and apply to the OIE for transfer credit.

The OIE holds Drop-In hours Monday through Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Stop by and speak with a recently returned Student Adviser or an OIE staff member!

If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact an OIE staff member for more information.
